Workspace Wednesdays

Before & After: Kitchen Remodel

So my parent's remodel is finally finished! If you remember from my Kitchen Inspiration post in March, my parents recently moved out of their home of 25 years. Presented with the challenge of updating the kitchen quickly, within budget, I think we did a pretty good job. See for yourselves:

p.s. My parents were in the process of packing, so the kitchen looks much messier than usual! Makes for quite a dramatic effect, though, right? ;)

Texture Me Tuesdays

Jim Thompson fabrics are too fabulous for words, and I am loving the new line - Opus - it's fifth collection by British designer, Richard Smith. I guess it's no surprise that I love bright colors...but these are completely over the top awesome, and so perfect for summer!

Bedroom Bliss

I love a good guest room furnished with double twin beds. It lends itself to symmetry and a chance to create a focal point. This room does both really well, and I love how the art is centered on the lamp rather than the beds, creating an unexpected yet balanced result.

TGIFoyers!

A new segment on my blog...welcome to TGIFoyers! You may not know it yet, but I am obsessed with a great foyer, and hope to never live in a home that has not carved out a landing pad to greet guests warmly, shake off the rain, hang your hat, display great artwork, and transition from the outside in. Below is one of my all time favorite foyers... so perfect, it needs no explanation.
